As I do a lot of lamp measurements myself (see the category lamp measurements), I decided to measure the moon spectrum myself and put that info available on the internet.<br \/>\n<!--more--><\/p>\n<h3>Measurement circumstances<\/h3>\n<p>The measurement has been done on 14th of April 2014. It was an evening with few clouds and we had a full moon, well visible. Taking measurements with the spectrometer <a href=\"http:\/\/www.jeti.com\/cms\/index.php\/instruments-55\/radiometer\/specbos\/specbos-1211\">SpecBos 1211<\/a> can then be done in two ways.<\/p>\n<p>1) measurement of the illuminance (in lux). However the expected illuminance is only 1 lux and that results in a very faint spectrum with signals for each wavelength too close to the noise limit to have a nice signal.<\/p>\n<p>2) measurement of luminance (in Cd\/m\u02c62), and that requires a very well alignment of the measurement device in the direction of the moon, as the sensitivity area of the device in this mode is only two degrees wide.<\/p>\n<p>I mounted the spectrometer on a tripod and kept on aligning and measuring until I had an output with a high signal.<\/p>\n<h3>Measurement results<\/h3>\n<p>Here the spectrum and derived parameters.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.olino.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/001_MoonSpectrum_177cdm-2.png\" class=\"thickbox no_icon\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-85792\" src=\"http:\/\/www.olino.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/001_MoonSpectrum_177cdm-2-400x312.png\" alt=\"001_MoonSpectrum_177cdm-2\" width=\"400\" height=\"312\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.olino.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/002_MoonSpectrum177cdm-2_24measurements.png\" class=\"thickbox no_icon\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-85793\" src=\"http:\/\/www.olino.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/002_MoonSpectrum177cdm-2_24measurements-400x360.png\" alt=\"002_MoonSpectrum177cdm-2_24measurements\" width=\"400\" height=\"360\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.olino.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/003_CRI_moonspectrumMacLv.png\" class=\"thickbox no_icon\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-85794\" src=\"http:\/\/www.olino.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/003_CRI_moonspectrumMacLv.png\" alt=\"003_CRI_moonspectrumMacLv\" width=\"391\" height=\"281\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Lastly an csv-file with the measurement data, which is an average of 24 measurements.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.olino.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/004_measurementsMoonSpectrum_OliNo.org_.csv\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-thumbnail wp-image-85796\" src=\"http:\/\/www.olino.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/file-icon-csv-300px1-97x100.png\" alt=\"file-icon-csv-300px\" width=\"97\" height=\"100\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Added per 20 June 2018:<br \/>\nAnd here the file <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">extended<\/span> with a column for Ee (in W\/m^2\/nm) and the approximated illuminance value (in lux).
